I can provide a very flexible design service for gardens
of all sizes. Projects undertaken range from fully comprehensive
design packages (detailing both hard and soft landscaping),
to one-off consultation visits advising how to improve
an existing garden layout or planting scheme.
As well as producing design drawings
& any necessary detail documentation, I can find
landscapers to build the garden, manage the building
process, draw up planting plans, buy plants and organise
planting. I can also offer maintenance notes on new
or existing planting, or work directly with clients
teaching them how to maintain their gardens. If clients
want to gradually develop their garden over a number
of years, this can be carried out on a consultancy basis
to suit budget and time restrictions.
I work with reliable contractors and
top quality plant nurseries, and designs are drawn up
to suit clients’ individual needs, tastes &
budgets. Should specialist help be required (for example
on bespoke water projects, lighting or irrigation),
I have a number of reliable contractors to call upon.
Projects can be completed in one go or in stages. The
majority of my work is based in the South East of England,
in particular Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and London.
I hold qualifications in both Garden
Design and Plants & Planting Design, and, in 2001,
with fellow graduates from the Pickard School of Garden
Design in London, was awarded a silver medal at the
RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the Tastevin Courtyard Garden.
